The Department of Psychology at Dickinson College invites applications for Visiting Assistant Professors (2) to begin Fall 2019:
Visiting Assistant Professor in Social Psychology (two years): The successful candidate will teach psychology courses in the area of social psychology: Introduction to Social Psychology, Research Methods in Social Psychology, and a seminar in Social Psychology; the focus of the latter two courses will lie in the candidate’s area of expertise. Teaching load is five courses across the academic year.
Visiting Assistant Professor in Cultural or Cross-Cultural Psychology: The successful candidate will teach psychology courses in the area of cross-cultural psychology: Introduction to Cross-Cultural Psychology and Seminar in Cross-Cultural Psychology; the focus of the seminar will be in the candidate's area of expertise. Teaching load is five courses across the academic year.
Candidates must have a PhD in Psychology by the time of the appointment. We expect a strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts environment and the ability to involve undergraduates in research. Our largest classes have a capacity of 35 students. The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidates.
