The Department of Psychology at the University of North Alabama invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position (specialization open) beginning in August 2019. We seek a colleague who is committed to and has a track record of exemplary teaching and high-quality research with undergraduate students. The position is open to applicants in any sub-discipline and will involve teaching both lower-level (e.g., General Psychology) and upper-level courses, which may include a course in the candidate’s area of expertise. Preference will be given to candidates who have taught courses including Cognitive Psychology or Psychological Statistics. The standard teaching load is four courses per semester (traditional and online). Experience in online teaching or a willingness to learn how to develop and teach online courses is required. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university (ABD will be considered).
