Bowdoin College’s Psychology Department and Neuroscience Program invite applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin July 1, 2019 in the area of behavioral neuroscience. A Ph.D. is strongly preferred (although ABDs will be considered); post-doctoral research and teaching experience are also desirable. Teaching responsibilities consist of four courses, including a topics course and/or advanced seminar in behavioral neuroscience; classes in data analysis and/or introduction to psychology; and a laboratory course in the candidate’s area of specialization. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education, an active engagement in research, and a readiness to involve undergraduates in their research.
