Steinhardt seeks a candidate who can teach and provide clinical supervision for students in the Counseling M.A. programs (mental health and school counseling) and the APA-approved Counseling Psychology PhD program, as well as assume administrative responsibilities in the doctoral program’s training clinic, the Center for Counseling and Community Wellbeing.
Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level classes. Clinical supervision will include, but is not limited to, evidence-based (e.g., CBT, ACT, IPT, DBT) supervision of doctoral students conducting individual psychotherapy (with children and/or adults). Administrative responsibilities will include working closely with the Director of the training clinic to provide administrative assistance. May assist in the facilitation of program orientations and other recruitment events. Exact job duties will be negotiated at hiring.
An earned doctorate degree in Counseling, School, or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program, completion of an internship in an APA-accredited program, and New York State licensure are required. Strong candidates for this position will have a background in evidence-based treatment, as well as teaching and supervising students at the graduate level.
