Job Description

The Department of Psychological Science at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a related area, at the assistant professor level beginning August 2020. Applications from candidates with an interest in leadership, training, and/or motivation would be especially welcome.

The Psychological Science Department has 11 full time faculty members, an MS degree program in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and recently remodeled lab space. The successful candidate for this position must be committed to both teaching and scholarship, and able to develop an active research program that involves undergraduate and graduate students. The typical teaching load is two courses per semester with some using distance education technology. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a related field and evidence of excellence in teaching and research. The person who holds this position will teach both graduate and undergraduate courses in industrial psychology and organizational psychology, with the potential to develop new courses.

Research opportunities may be available at Ft. Leonard Wood, MoDOT (Missouri Department of Transportation) and the regional medical center (Phelps Health). Additional information on the department and faculty research interests is available at http://psych.mst.edu.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or a related field and evidence of excellence in teaching and research.
