The Department of Psychology in the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics and Education at The University of Tampa invites applications for a tenure track position in Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in August 2019.
Candidates will have interest in and/or experience teaching courses in upper-level abnormal psychology and introductory assessment, as well as courses in general psychology, introductory research methods and statistics, and theories of personality. Candidates will have the opportunity to teach and/or develop other courses in their specialty. Teaching responsibilities include three, 4-hour courses each semester, though a one-course offload can be taken before applying for tenure. Other responsibilities will include standard student advising, committee service, and maintaining an active record of scholarship. Preference will be given to candidates with interest in and/or experience with mentoring undergraduate research. College or university teaching experience and demonstrated scholarly activity in the field are preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates who have earned their PhD from a graduate Department of Psychology. Area of research interest is open with specialization in children, adolescents, or adults.
