Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology

The Department of Psychological Science at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in CLINICAL psychology. Appointment is set to begin August 2019. All areas of Clinical Science will be considered; we are interested in an inclusive and diverse pool of applicants. A competitive startup package is available. Successful applicants must have

  1. A PhD from an APA-accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program and be license-eligible in the state of Arkansas
  2. An outstanding record of research achievement and evidence of, or demonstrated potential for, external funding
  3. A strong commitment to both graduate-level training and undergraduate instruction
  4. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusiveness, including the ability to mentor students from underrepresented backgrounds, consistent with our Department’s Diversity Mission Statement ( and our campus-wide strategic plan (
  5. Ability to supervise clinical work involving diverse cases (including children and families)
  6. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality.
