Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology has 28 full-time faculty who serve a large Undergraduate Program and four graduate programs; Ph.D. Clinical, Psy.D School, MS School and MA General Psychology. The faculty are gender balanced (15 women and 13 men) and diverse on many dimensions. There are roughly 500 undergraduate majors and 160 graduate students active in the department each year. We are seeking applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position for the School Psychology programs. A successful applicant will have expertise in Consultation and Collaboration as evidenced by a record of scholarly publications and presentations. They will be able to teach at both the Graduate and Undergraduate level and will demonstrate the ability to engage both graduate and undergraduate students in research, mentor doctoral dissertations, and submit applications for external funding of research and/or teaching.


Qualifications include an earned doctorate in Psychology from an APA-accredited program, evidence of an ongoing program of research, commitment to teaching, and potential to attract external funding, and licensed/licensed eligible to practice as a Psychologist in NY.
