We are seeking to appoint an experienced Clinical Psychologist registered in New Zealand. The appointee must have a minimum of five years (ideally eight year or more) professional experience. This appointment provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the Centre for Psychology at the Auckland (Albany) Campus. The Centre runs a busy psychology clinic catering to the needs of children, adolescents and adults, with a large proportion of its current clients referred by the military. It also assists in the professional training of postgraduate students in Psychology (MClinPsych and DClinPsych) which has a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focus.
In addition to being encouraged to further develop their own area of expertise and specialisation, the appointee will have responsibility for professional practice with a wide range of clients, and for the supervision of Clinical Trainees, particularly Intern Psychologists. There will be encouragement to develop and participate in state-of-the-art, evidence-based treatment and research programmes that meet unserved client needs in the North Shore region, according to the appointee's interests and expertise.
Should you require clarification on any aspect of this position, please contact Dr Clifford van Ommen, Director of the Centre for Psychology, Telephone +64 9 414 0800 extn 43114, email email@example.com, or Associate Professor Ross Flett, Head of School, email firstname.lastname@example.org
