Regional Manager - Educational Assessments

SUMMARY: Sells assessments to Assigned Accounts in accordance with PAR profit objectives and company priorities and acts as the primary point of contact for new client introductions within assigned territory. Focus is on promoting and supporting PAR and distributed products to result in increased sales to Assigned Accounts and growth of revenue within the territory. Responsible for prospecting and responding to new business inquiries as well as introductions of new products within existing accounts. Provides active support for new product launches, and may also provide input to new product ideas and products under development as member of collaborative internal team, and may also provide feedback and comments on marketing materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of this position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Develops and implements overall sales plan consistent with corporate sales plan to meet targeted sales revenue goals for Assigned Accounts
  2. Develops sales strategies designed to focus on major accounts. Identifies key sales contacts, records daily activities in CRM or Extranet, prepares and reports periodic efforts via weekly sales reports. Develops additional selling strategies to meet sales objectives
  3. Updates contacts, reaches out to Assigned Accounts via email or telephone, makes telephone and email sales calls to key sales contacts, and prepares mailings and territory marketing materials as feasible in conjunction with corporate marketing. Organizes workdays to maximize efforts and provide efficient and effective use of time
  4. Responsible for new client acquisition in a defined territory to include asking for and securing referrals and making introductions to new clients and prospects
  5. Responsible for researching and maintaining working knowledge of assessment trends within a defined territory including potential changes to legislation at the state and national level, impacts of legislation on assessment practices, and trends in adoption by practitioners at the state and local district level
  6. Works collaboratively with PAR National Accounts team when applicable to implement strategies to position PAR instruments with state DOE or similar organizations in the region
  7. Prepares competitive quotes for potential product orders at all assigned and prospect accounts and works with sales operations to track quotes to close. Prepares adjustments and revisions to quotes and follows up with customers as needed until closed. Reviews past purchase history relative to new PAR product offerings, and targets those accounts with highest sales success potential. Works on accounts with highest possible payoff, and manages other accounts as well
  8. Promptly responds to customer inquiries regarding products and product demonstrations. Serves as the primary point of contact for all initial product demonstrations to include webinars, workshops, and PiC demos. Works collaboratively with other PAR sales staff to develop content and materials to educate customers on PAR products
  9. Coordinates appointment details, finalizes meeting agendas, and coordinates travel for periodic customer-facing business review meetings. This includes travel for workshops, educational sessions either conducted alone or with PAR authors, and periodic customer-facing account reviews
  10. Contributes ideas and suggestions through internal sales meetings to enhance productivity and increase sales. Works collaboratively with other sales team members to provide ideas to grow sales overall
  11. Evaluates monthly sales activities to determine the effectiveness of sales plans and strategies, and makes changes as needed after consultation with supervisor
  12. Keeps PAR personnel and sales director informed of own activities and those of competitors through weekly individual meetings and sales reports
  13. Actively markets active PAR authors to state conferences within the region and introduces PAR authors to appropriate conference organizing committee members for inclusion in annual meetings. Works with district-level contacts to coordinate workshops, education sessions, and trainings on PAR instruments where appropriate
  14. Recommends and submits new products and product modifications to R&D. May participate in product development effort as part of collaborative development team. Provides feedback on marketing materials, and may periodically review products for distribution
  15. Performs other similar or related duties as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: PhD, PsyD PSYS, EdD, or Masters in clinical or counseling psychology, school psychology, or equivalent. 3+ years selling products to this or similar market. Strong interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, excellent presentation skills.
