Psychology Writer/Blogger (Part-time, freelance)

Motimatic is a fast-growing, venture-backed company that blends the latest advances in motivation and behavior science, data analytics, and advertising technology to help organizations drive people to achieve life-changing goals.

We are looking for a writer/blogger to help us publish white papers, blog posts, case studies, and other content pieces on subjects related to motivation and behavior modification as we inform our audience about the science related to our service. For content consultation and guidance, we have a head behavioral scientist who will be available as a content resource. Our content marketing manager will help with topic ideas, editing, and publishing in formats that our audience can relate to and effectively consume.

Motimatic is an exciting company with a unique product and mission. We have pioneered a unique motivation system that harnesses the power of digital advertising to improve lives and achieve social good. We work with organizations such as universities, health care providers, financial services providers and employers, who are trying to drive productive behaviors and goal attainment within a target audience. Our system guides and inspires students, patients, consumers and employees to achieve life-term goals like graduating from college, improving health, or attaining financial stability.

The ideal candidate will have a background in motivation and behavioral science, with excellent writing skills. It is a freelance opportunity that can be performed anywhere so there is no location requirement (though the company is based in San Francisco).  We will need approximately 15-30 hours per month. The hours will likely be concentrated into 2-3 week blocks while working on a piece, followed by 1-2 weeks of downtime between pieces.
