INSTRUCTOR IN PSYCHOLOGY: The Psychology Department at the University of Illinois Springfield invites applications for an instructor position beginning August 19, 2019. This is a full-time on-campus position and benefit-eligible non-tenured academic appointment. UIS faculty are expected to be available and engaged in the campus community, and to carry out assigned teaching and other professional responsibilities.

Teaching responsibilities would include undergraduate courses such as introductory psychology, research methods, senior seminar, and courses in the candidate’s specialty area. Candidate will be expected to tech some classes in an online format. Opportunities to mentor undergraduate research may be available. Normal teaching load is four courses per semester.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of a M.A./M.S. in psychology or closely related field awarded from a regionally accredited university prior to the start date, and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Experience pursuing innovative and engaging teaching strategies is desirable.
