The University of Arizona (UA), Campus Health Service’s (CHS) Counseling & Psych Services (CAPS) department is seeking multiple licensed Psychologists to provide psychological evaluation, crisis management and brief treatment for UA students.
We are looking for strong generalists, as well as candidates with strong background or specialization in one or more of the following areas: sexual assault and other trauma, substance abuse, eating and body issues, and ADHD.
These full time positions will be responsible for providing mental health triage, brief counseling, referral, consultation, outreach, and emergency/crisis assessment services for UA undergraduate, graduate and professional students. This position will work closely with the entire CAPS counseling and psychiatry staff, as well as interfacing with the CHS medical team, the Dean of Students Office, Housing and Residential Life, faculty, families, other campus departments and community entities. It may operate from one or more CAPS campus satellite locations and specific hours might require some flexibility, in the future.
These positions will also participate in consultation and outreach within the University community.
Number of Hours Worked per Week: 40; including possible extended schedule hours, outside usual 8-5 (TBD); occasional evening or weekend hours (for outreach and crisis response).
