The Florida State University’s Division of Student Affairs is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative, Mental Health professional to join the clinical staff at the University Counseling Center (UCC) where we serve a student body of over 41,000 students.
We offer a comprehensive psychological counseling program and are looking for a candidate who can contribute their skills and training to our collaborative and collegial environment.
Clinical Responsibilities Include: providing direct psychological services to University students (individual, couples and group counseling); conducting clinical assessments and formulating diagnoses and treatment plans; providing walk-in emergency assessments, crisis intervention and intakes for students; providing clinical consultations to family members and campus community constituents
Supervision Responsibilities Include: Providing clinical supervision and/or training of interns in our American Psychological Association (APA) Accredited Pre-Doctoral Psychology internship, Pre-Masters Internship, or Practicum Students
Other Responsibilities Include: Participating on UCC and University committees; providing outreach presentations, program consultation, and suicide prevention programming
- Candidate must have a Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program
- Must be licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in the State of Florida (in accordance with Chapter 490, F.S.) or be able to obtain licensure within one year of employment in this position

The University Counseling Center (UCC) provides a full range of counseling and psychological services. We have a very robust group therapy program, an active outreach schedule, and a dynamic peer educator student organization. Our multidisciplinary staff is diverse and represents many theoretical orientations and disciplines (psychology, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, and art therapy). The UCC enjoys the strong support from University administrators and collaboration with other Student Affairs and Academic units, to provide mental health and wellness programming, is a hallmark of our center. All staff members are encouraged to contribute to the training and supervision of our graduate interns.
