Clinical or Counseling Psychologists. UCF RESTORES, under the direction of Deborah C. Beidel, PhD, ABPP, is initiating a four- year, multi-center randomized controlled trial comparing compressed and standard-length behavioral treatments for active duty personnel with PTSD. This trial will be conducted at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Virginia, Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (Jacksonville, North Carolina) and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, Augusta Georgia. We are seeking two psychologists at each site. Psychologists will be trained in all study procedures and be responsible for all aspects of the treatment program including diagnostic assessments, training and collection of sleep actigraphy, implementing individual and group treatments (including the use of virtual reality exposure therapy) and conducting follow-up assessments. For those who are interested, there will be opportunities to contribute to the scientific papers and presentations that will emerge from this project.
Interested applicants should have a PhD or PsyD from an APA accredited clinical or counseling psychology program and an accredited internship. Experience with military populations preferred but not required. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with experience.
