Professional Faculty in School Psychology

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum: EdS in School Psychology
  • K-12 experience as a licensed school psychologist
  • Record of, or potential for, high quality university-based instruction and field-based supervision
  • Fluent knowledge of the current literature, trends, and issues in school psycholoyg including broad experience in the 10 domains of school psychology practice as identified by the National Association of School Psychologists



Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working and collaborating with general education teachers, special education teams and school administrators
  • Experience in systematic supervision of field-based experiences of school psychology trainees
  • Experience teaching undergraduate or graduate-level courses



Duties/Expectations:

  • Teach and mentor graduate students studying school psychology
  • Coordinate practicum and internship program
    • Support field-based supervisors of school psychologists in training
    • Develop and maintain practicum and internship sites for practicum students and interns
    • Manage placement of students and ongoing needs of students and districts
    • Facilitate data collection and evaluation of student portfolios
  • Collaborate with other CPSE faculty to successfully complete program accreditation documents
  • Provide university and professional service
  • Function as full member of faculty with campus presence and contribution to overall program development
