Clarity Clinic is offering a clinical psychology pre-doctoral internship to conduct evidence-based (DBT, CBT, and ACT) individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy. The clinical psychology pre-doctoral internship will complete psychological and neuropsychological evaluations to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients. The intern will complete up to 5 evaluations per month, which will include neuropsychological evaluations, diagnostic clarification, academic evaluations, personality assessments, child and adolescent behavioral evaluations, etc. The intern will be responsible for coordinating with the referral source and completing feedback sessions within a multidisciplinary team. The intern will carry a caseload of psychotherapy clients (individual, family, couples and groups) presenting with mood disorders, eating disorders, trauma, substance use disorders, personality disorders, life transitions etc. Clarity Clinic offers a rich and diverse clinical training experience.
The candidate will receive weekly individual supervision on their assessment work as well as individual supervision and group supervision weekly focusing on the therapy they provide. In addition, there will be additional didactic and professional development trainings. The learning atmosphere at Clarity Clinic is supportive, and the overall clinical approach is based on an integration model and evidence-based treatment. At Clarity Clinic there is a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary, holistic care, and evidence-based treatment with a variety of clients.
The position is for 12 months and begins August 5, 2019, (August 5, 2019 to July 31 2020) with the potential to renew.
Applicants must have proposed their dissertation and completed training in psychological and neuropsychological evaluations and evidenced-based psychotherapy.
The ideal applicant are excellent time management skills, communication and writing skills. Strong diagnostic skills and an ability to learn new test measures quickly and flexibility to learn new assessments. Applicants with experience with evidence-based treatment are strongly encouraged to apply.
