The Doerr Institute for New Leaders is seeking to fill a position for a postdoctoral research fellow to help design, plan, and execute leader development programming for students across the university. This is a practitioner role, similar to a full-time role in HR talent management departments in industry. The individual will be expected to help deliver training in addition to helping to design training programs, so experience teaching and/or training is important. A record of publication in academic, social science journals is desirable but not required, although successful applicants must be able to read and evaluate academic research on leader development. Having compelling practitioner experience in the realm of leader development or talent management is also desirable. The full-time position is for 12 months with the possibility of renewal for one additional year. The applicant must defend their dissertation by September 30, 2019.
- Strong research skills are required for this position, as are strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively on a team is required
- A portion of the postdoctoral fellow’s time will be spent piloting new training initiatives or changes to existing initiatives. As such, a successful candidate will have skills in teaching, training, and/or facilitating
- Must have training in the realm of leadership, leader development, or talent management
