We are seeking a postdoctoral scholar who can help direct an NIMH-funded study investigating the intergenerational transmission of emotion dysregulation. A key benefit of this position includes joint mentorship in both clinical (Dr. Crowell) and developmental (Dr. Conradt) psychology. We prepare post-doctoral scholars to conduct independent research in emotion dysregulation, perinatal risk and protective factors, and emotional development in early childhood. In addition the postdoctoral scholar will receive training in grantsmanship and in conducting research as part of an interdisciplinary team. The position lasts 1 year, with an option to extend up to 3 years. More information about the BABY study can be found here: canlab.psych.utah.edu.

We are looking for a scholar with strong organizational and administrative skills, who is detail-oriented and conscientious and can aid in data management, statistical analyses, and who can complete manuscript drafts in a timely manner. There are many opportunities for publications and grant submissions in our active, dynamic, and collaborative lab. Opportunities to participate in other NIH-funded projects are possible.

In addition to training opportunities with Drs. Conradt and Crowell, the University of Utah has established a cutting-edge consortium for Families and
Health Research (www.utah.edu/faculty/c-fahr) involving an interdisciplinary group of scholars (many of whom are based in Psychology) who seek to understand how the family system can be utilized to improve the health and health care of individuals across the life span. The consortium provides a range of opportunities for collaborative research across the University.

The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, nestled in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains. With an enrollment of 25,000 students, it is the flagship University for the State of Utah. The University of Utah is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer and strongly encourages applications from women and minorities and provides reasonable accommodation to the known disabilities of applicants and employees.
