Post Doc Fellow in Psychology

The post-doctoral psychology fellow will provide direct services under the supervision of the licensed clinical psychologist. Direct services may include individual, family, and group treatment, brief interventions, and screening in primary care setting as well as outreach in the community. LCHC is a patient care, teaching and research organization and provides workshops, education sessions and outreach – all employees should expect to be involved with these activities, the extent to which will depend upon their position in the organization.

1. Provide full range of behavioral health/psychological diagnosis and treatment services as part of an integrated primary care team, under the supervision of the licensed clinical psychologist, including, but not limited to:

a. Initial psychological evaluation/assessment, including accurate DSM-5 diagnosis and evidence based treatment plans
b. Individual, couple, family and group treatment, as required
c. Consultation/collaboration of treatment plans and progress with patient's LCHC medical provider
d. Ongoing evaluation of overall effectiveness of therapeutic efforts, instituting changes to treatment plans/goals, as needed, to increase efficacy of interventions.
e. Crisis intervention & safety monitoring, as needed

2. Develop programs designed to emphasize wellness and chronic disease management
3. Complete necessary steps to facilitate systematic third-party billing practice within identified clinic
4. Participate in weekly clinical supervision
5. Practices and espouses the LCHC patient care philosophy: All Inclusive culturally sensitive Patient Centered Medical Home care integrated with behavioral health, outreach, and case management
6. Ensures patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations are followed
7. Employs cultural and linguistic approaches necessary to communicate effectively with patients
8. Carries out related duties as required and as may be assigned

1. Doctorate in Psychology, PhD or PsyD
2. Previous experience and/or high level of comfort working with primary care providers using a consultative approach within an Integrated Behavioral Health Model
3. Previous experience and/or highly motivated to learn principles of Behavioral Medicine/Health Psychology
