The Department of Psychiatry at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas invites applicants for a full-time academic appointment at an open-rank faculty position, clinical faculty appointment (CFA). This nationally recognized department is expanding its clinical and research programs and seeks an academic psychiatrist with interest and experience in psychosomatic medicine and psycho-oncology.
Ideal candidates will provide high-quality patient care in ambulatory clinical and inpatient consultation-liaison settings, as well as supervise and educate trainees, supervise advanced practice providers, and participate in clinical research and scholarly activities. Candidates should be well-trained clinicians with both clinical and academic interests in the psychiatric and psychosocial impact of cancer. Applicants must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree and be eligible for full medical licensure in the State of Texas. ABPN eligibility/certification in psychiatry is required, and fellowship training/certification in psychosomatic medicine is highly desirable.
