Mental Health Supervisor, Youth Protection Program

The Audrey Hepburn Children's House (AHCH) at Hackensack University Medical Center is seeking a senior clinical psychologist. Fostering a culture of excellence within a collaborative environment, the AHCH is the Northern Regional Diagnostic Center for Child Abuse and Neglect in New Jersey. The successful candidate should have a proven record of leadership in the field of child maltreatment. He/she should also possess expertise in the forensic psychological assessment and treatment of child abuse in families; forensic psychological assessment in the field of child abuse; forensic interviewing and its relationship to child abuse investigation, and clinical direction of evidenced based treatments such as, TF-CBT, DBT, PCIT or a related EBT. The successful candidate will be appointed to the Hackensack University Medical Center medical staff with privileges in Pediatrics and Child Psychiatry. The candidate as the leader of the mental health staff will supervise psychologists, post-doctoral fellows, pre-doctoral interns and externs, and licensed clinical social workers. The successful candidate should have demonstrated involvement in developing programs for child protective services and/or the Office of the Attorney General.



Interested individuals must have strong intellectual capability, maturity and judgment, as demonstrated by their academic performance, professional experience, and other demonstrated achievements. Successful candidates will meet the following qualifications: Earned Doctorate in Psychology, with an internship in clinical/child, school, adult clinical, forensic and/or pediatric psychology. A proven record in child welfare reform, provision of mental health services and delivery, research in key clinical therapeutic services and their delivery and/or forensic assessment and interviewing. As well as Post-doctoral training and experience in child maltreatment.
