Logan Family Trust Lecturer 2019

The School of Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University (Metropolitan campus) is seeking applicants for the Logan Family Trust Lecturer. This grant-funded position aligns with the Logan family’s goal of increasing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) expertise and support at FDU. The position will be a clinical (non-tenure track) line and is designed to support the School of Psychology’s undergraduate program in general and the COMPASS program in particular. The faculty will be granted a course release to serve as the Associate Director of the COMPASS program, which provides services to FDU undergraduates with ASD. The ideal candidate will have significant clinical and/or research experience with ASD. The Associate Director would work under the Director as an essential part of the COMPASS team. The job of Associate Director will requires approximately 5-10 hours per week; this may vary depending on current demands of the program. Specific duties are flexible depending on applicant interest and experience, but may include:

· Participation in weekly COMPASS meetings (mandatory)

· Supervision and management of doctoral student providers

· Communication with undergraduate students and their families

· Participation in program evaluation, including gathering and analyzing data

· Modifying current program components based on current, evidence-based research

· Conducting workshops and trainings for FDU faculty and staff and for the community

· Involvement in research related to college students with ASD

· Participating in advertising and outreach efforts

· Helping select appropriate candidates for the program

· Teaching undergraduate psychology courses at FDU

The position will begin in Fall 2019. A doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D.) in Clinical, School, or Educational Psychology (or closely related field) is required. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
