The School of Psychology is seeking to appoint two suitably qualified full-time Lecturers to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching in Psychology.
One of the positions will contribute to our undergraduate teaching and postgraduate training programme in Clinical Psychology. Applications for this position are invited from people with expertise in abnormal and clinical psychology. Responsibilities of the successful applicant will include establishing and maintaining a productive research programme, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate papers related to clinical psychology, supervising postgraduate student research, and contributing to the administration of the clinical psychology professional training programme. Appointment will be at Lecturer level (vacancy 390109).
The area of research specialisation for the second position is open but candidates who can contribute to teaching and research in one or more of the following are desired: Behaviour Analysis, Community Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Organisational Psychology, Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Kaupapa Māori Psychology. Appointment will be at Lecturer level (vacancy number 390110).
Requirements for both positions include a PhD in Psychology, experience in undergraduate teaching and graduate supervision, and a very good record of research publications, commensurate with Lecturer level. For the clinical position registration or eligibility for NZ registration as a clinical psychologist is also required.
The School of Psychology is undergoing a period of expansion. The School offers a broad undergraduate education in Psychology, with a range of specialised programmes at graduate level, including Masters and PhD degrees and several programmes that lead to registration as a professional psychologist.
Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$74,034 to $89,163 per year, dependent on qualifications and experience.
