Performs highly advanced (senior-level) psychological work and assists in leading a team of mental health specialists at the assigned secure correctional facility under the direction of the facility’s manager of clinical services. Social Worker II/III/IV- Sexual Behavior Treatment Program

The sexual behavior counselor is responsible for providing group and individual sex offender counseling directly to juveniles receiving treatment through the SBTP program at the assigned TJJD state-operated high security correctional facility. In addition, this position conducts family counseling, family reintegration sessions, and trauma groups as needed; conducts assessments; develops, implements and monitors specialized treatment plans, and performs discharge and transition activities to ensure coordination of treatment service delivery upon release to a halfway house or the community.


Health Specialist II / III / V; Psychologist II – Mental Health Specialist/Psychologist for Secure Institution

The Mental Health Specialist or Psychologist provides a range of direct psychological services to youth who have been adjudicated delinquent of felony offenses and committed to the agency by a juvenile court. Direct services include conducting group, individual, family, trauma, and crisis counseling sessions and administering and interpreting psychological evaluations of youth at risk of suicide or in need of specialized treatment services. Assists in monitoring the agency’s multifaceted treatment program, and reviews and monitors specialized treatment programs
