Stepping Stone Clinic is an integrated mental health clinic providing innovative treatment options for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of disorders using progressive delivery models. Stepping Stone Clinic’s “why” behind what we do comes from wanting to help remove barriers to mental health services, improve efficaciousness of empirically supported treatments, and prevent burn-out by supporting patients and providers in an ever-changing health care system. We do this by delivering multiple types of services through a single care team dedicated to know each of our patients’ stories. We are process focused and work to ensure that every action of our clinic, right down to our intake paperwork, is part of the therapeutic process and builds a positive patient experience.

Stepping Stone Clinic is recruiting for three psychologist positions. Psychologists work alongside in-house Integrative Nutritionists as well as Behavioral Health and Executive Function Coaches utilizing a range of evidence-based assessments, interventions, and integrated approaches. Psychologists serve patient populations of all ages from various backgrounds at three different types of settings: 1) Stepping Stone Clinic outpatient site in Richfield, 2) speciality medical clinics around the Twin Cities, and 3) Stepping Stone Clinic’s community programs offering Homework Help with Executive Function Training, Social Skills Camps, and Wellness Classes.

Opportunities are available to provide supervision and training to practicum students participating in APA-affiliated practicum training program as well as a chance to participate in clinical research focused on nutraceutical and psychological treatments and outcomes. Additional information about our Stepping Stone Clinic team, our practice, and our “why” can be found at www.steppingstoneclinicmn.com.

Responsibilities include helping further develop and implement site-specific protocols, integrating behavioral health, nutrition, and medicine with community medical partners at primary-care and specialty-clinic placements. Provide warm hand-off services and collaborative care including brief assessment, interdisciplinary evaluation, short-term intervention (3 to 12 appointments), and treatment planning for children, young adults, and families referred by physicians and other health professionals. Consult medical providers regarding neurodevelopment, psychosocial/psychiatric concerns, and behavior change. Provide psychological treatment addressing coping with medical experiences and related psychosocial and family-system stressors.

Qualifications and Compensation

Candidates MUST have a PhD/PsyD in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited graduate program and have (or be in process of obtaining) a Minnesota license. Completion of an APA-accredited internship in clinical psychology is required. Applicants should be available to work 2 to 4 days per week (16 to 32 hour/week commitment). An ideal candidate will be team-oriented, able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and have a strong interest and/or understanding in advancing the integration of psychology, nutrition, and medicine. Additional training and supervision available for psychologists open to expanding their scope of practice to include health & behavior assessments, consultation & liaison, and neurodevelopmentally sensitive treatment approaches.

Competitive hourly/salary wage based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include flexible schedule, valued work-life balance, support from excellent administrative staff, on-boarding credentialing, access to current insurance contracts and established referral sources, supportive individual and group consultation, yearly continuing education stipends, multidisciplinary rounds and didactics, and networking opportunities throughout the healthcare community.
