Position Summary: The Department of Psychology of La Salle University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, starting August 2019. We are seeking candidates who have an established record of scholarship in an area related to diversity (e.g. understanding the impact of racism and discrimination on mental health, examining cultural disparities in access to mental health services, assessing cultural adaptations of evidence-based treatments). We welcome candidates whose experience in research, teaching, and service has prepared them to contribute to our program’s long-standing commitment to building a culturally diverse and inclusive intellectual community.
Essential Duties: The position involves teaching, clinical supervision, supervision of student research, and advising within our APA-accredited PsyD Program. Although courses will primarily be taught within the doctoral program in Clinical Psychology, faculty may also teach courses within our undergraduate and Master’s programs.
- PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an APA-accredited program
- Licensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist in Pennsylvania
- Previous experience training students to be multiculturally competent psychologists who are sensitive to individual differences.
- Experience in family systems or group processes.
