Forensic Psychologist/Faculty Position: The University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) Law and Psychiatry program seeks to fill a Faculty position on its Forensic Evaluation Service. The Service provides forensic evaluations of competence to stand trial, criminal responsibility, civil commitment, and aid-in sentencing at Worcester Recovery Center, Tewksbury Hospital, and Western Massachusetts. In addition, the Service provides violence risk assessment consultations to Department of Mental Health Facilities. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D./Psy.D., specialized training/experience in Forensic Psychology, be designated as a DFP by the Department of Mental Health (or be eligible for such designation), have experience in risk assessment, and be licensed or eligible for licensure as a psychologist in Massachusetts. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate ability to contribute to the academic mission of UMMS. The position comes with a faculty appointment, salaries are competitive, with an excellent benefit package, including additional faculty benefits, and eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
