The Department of Psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center invites applications for a faculty position for a senior health psychologist (Associate Professor or Professor) to provide leadership in the Health System's provision and expansion of behavioral health care to persons with physical illness and prevention. Responsibilities also include developing funded research, mentoring junior faculty, liaison with other psychologists on both VCU campuses, and supervising the ector of Training for our APA accredited post-doctoral fellowship in clinical health psychology. Candidates must have completed an APA-accredited Ph.D. or Psy.D. program, be eligible for licensure as a clinical psychologist in Virginia and have ABPP Board Certification in Clinical Health Psychology or be eligible to apply for certification. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in funded clinical research in health psychology. History of external funding and multidisciplinary laborations highly desirable. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
