Faculty Positions - Assistant Professor Clinical/Counseling Psychology and Visiting Assistant Professor in Psychology
The Department of Psychology at High Point University is seeking two full-time undergraduate faculty positions. A PhD in Psychology is required for both positions, which begin in fall 2019.
Assistant Professor of Clinical/Counseling Psychology (Tenure-Track)
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship. Candidates should be actively engaged in scholarship, with expectations to maintain a program of research and publish in peer-reviewed journals. Teaching responsibilities include Abnormal Psychology, Psychological Counseling, courses in the applicant’s specialty area, and courses supporting departmental needs (e.g., Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and First Year Seminar).
Visiting Assistant Professor in Psychology (Non-Tenure Track, Renewable up to 3 years)
This position is for an open area of concentration within psychology. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship. Teaching responsibilities include Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, First Year Seminar, and established departmental courses within applicant’s area of training.
