Consistent with a practitioner-scholar model, CU Denver’s APA accredited (on contingency) PsyD in School Psychology program prepares professional school psychologists through rigorous academic study integrated with intensive supervised clinical practice. The program includes an emphasis on prevention and the ecological influences on behavior, as well as respect for all aspects of diversity. Students receive substantial training regarding working in diverse, urban environments. Themes of advocacy and social justice are integrated throughout the coursework and training experiences. CU Denver is one of only a handful of programs in the U.S. that offers an optional bilingual school psychologist concentration. The program has a 100 percent job placement rate.
