The individual selected for this position will also identify and pursue new opportunities and funding, consistent with CHDI’s mission, that will have a direct impact on children and families in Connecticut. The Director of Implementation will report directly to the Vice President for Mental Health Initiatives.

CHDI is an intermediary organization that works to improve the quality of health, behavioral health, and early childhood systems and services for Connecticut’s children and families. CHDI is the Coordinating Center for multiple state- and federally funded implementation, training, and quality improvement initiatives in Connecticut, including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC), Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS), and Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC). These initiatives have resulted in significant improvements to the service delivery system. More than 40 community-based providers have been trained to implement EBPs, more than 1,000 clinicians have been trained, over 11,000 children have been served, and CHDI has collected data to demonstrate excellent treatment outcomes for children and families. CHDI’s work also includes a focus on trauma-informed care, and CHDI is a member of SAMHSA’s National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
