Core Faculty, Clinical Psychology

Save job

With upcoming retirements on our horizon, the Clinical Psychology Department at Antioch University New England (AUNE) seeks passionate faculty to join our APA-accredited Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Program in Clinical Psychology. This is an exciting time in our department, with many opportunities to collaborate with current faculty on program development that will continue our legacy of progressive, first-rate training for future practitioners.

About the Position

The successful candidate will have completed an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology, and be licensed or license-eligible in NH. Candidates who are teacher-scholar oriented-informed by inclusive pedagogy-and support the practitioner-scholar model, would be a good fit for our department. Overall, we seek candidates whose values and vision are consistent with the mission of Antioch, and who are committed to fostering an inclusive learning community. We encourage candidates that will enhance the racial, ethnic, nationality, and cultural diversity of our program to apply.

Our faculty are excited to be able to offer multiple positions in our department. Areas of clinical/scholarly/research specialty for the positions are open. The following areas will receive priority consideration: social justice, neuropsychological/biological underpinnings of mental/behavioral health, cognitive-affective, geropsychology, child/family psychology, integrated care, program development and evaluation, and social determinants of mental/behavioral health.

At least one of these positions will be dedicated to an individual with expertise and interests in diversity or multicultural psychology. This individual will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the leadership and direction of the Antioch Multicultural Center for Research and Practice.

Faculty are expected to demonstrate achievement in the areas of student engagement, scholarly activity, and service, including administrative functions within the department and university. We seek candidates with the vision and potential to become future program leaders. This is a full-time, 12-month position, with academic rank and paid vacation. Opportunities for faculty to allocate one day per week to professional practice are also available.

About the Department, Campus, and University
AUNE's PsyD program has been accredited by APA since 1986. We follow (indeed, were instrumental in developing) the Practitioner-Scholar model of training as described by the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology. AUNE is renowned for its community of active, engaged, and socially-conscious faculty and students. We have 12 dedicated and dynamic full-time faculty, and we seek approximately two dozen students per cohort. Our students complete four years of full-time study, practica, internship, and a dissertation. Our graduates fulfill multiple professional roles as reflective practitioners, integrating our core program values of relationship, evidence-based practice, and social justice and diversity.

In addition, the Clinical Psychology department enacts its social justice values through its responsivity to the needs of the region and larger society with our training and service centers. Our three training and service centers include: the Psychological Services Center, Center for Behavioral Health Innovation, and the Antioch Multicultural Center for Research and Practice.
