Clinical Social Worker, LICSW/Eating Disorders Specialist

MIT Medical seeks a clinical social worker to join a well-staffed and well-resourced multidisciplinary counseling service that values collaboration and collegiality, along with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and social justice.
The eating disorders specialist will be responsible for conducting individual and group psychotherapy as part of an interdisciplinary team. Will also develop and implement prevention educational activities, screenings, and/or workshops in support of community awareness; and consult with clinical staff at MIT Medical and collaborators across campus.
Requirements: an MSW from an accredited school of social work; LICSW licensure by the Massachusetts' Board of Registration; comprehensive clinical experience, with a particular emphasis on the provision of evidence-based treatment of eating disorders, acute care, and crisis intervention; demonstrated skill in and knowledge of the field of eating disorders (current research, best practices, standards, professional organizations, etc.), particularly with college-aged and campus populations; extensive skill evaluating complex cases, triaging patients, addressing crises in the campus community, and working collaboratively on a team; interdisciplinary experience; demonstrated competency working with clients from diverse ethnic, racial, and socio-economic backgrounds; experience with short-term treatment interventions; comfort with high acuity and working in fast-paced environments; and experience in an autonomous clinical practice, with community outreach, and working complex systems. Experience collaborating across disciplines; strong communication, presentation, and writing skills; the ability to negotiate complex systems with multiple stakeholders; expertise in relationship building; an understanding of major trends and innovations in eating disorders education, prevention, and intervention, particularly in campus environments; a commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards; and the ability to initiate and cultivate enthusiasm for and follow through on projects are preferred.
