Eagle Global Scientific (EGS), LLC is looking for a Clinical Research Psychologist to perform the following duties: Manages all areas of clinical trials, including protocol development, regulatory submissions, and data management. Prepares protocol submissions, informed consent forms, annual reports, and study amendments for appropriate IRBs of record and provides documentation submissions in accordance with federal and local regulations. Develops and maintains study source documents and Case Report Forms, prepares study timelines, and when necessary, reports adverse events to the appropriate Government PI. The contractor shall, provide the following support:
Support government executive director (s) in the planning, evaluation, implementation, and documentation of scientific research utilizing clinical subjects recruited from San Antonio Military Medical Center. Be accessible to screen and recruit from trauma activations within San Antonio Military Medical Center Emergency Room
Coordinate clinical experiment scheduling and collection of data; works with clinical research assistants; recruits clinical study participants; provides ethical oversight in support of the clinical study. Manage randomized control trial, Recruit subjects meeting inclusion criteria, ensure study intervention and data analysis is performed per protocol, schedule follow-up for medical monitoring and PTSD evaluation at 4 weeks and 12 weeks post-trauma, maintain clinical records and data per protocol, coordinate transportation of biologic specimens to laboratory facility, work with primary investigator to accomplish successful clinical trial, develop (with PI) documents in support of project (manuscripts, memorandum, progress reports), ensure compliance with all requirements of 59th MDW/ST office and institutional review board (IRB).
Evaluate subjects for presence or absence of post-traumatic stress disorder; perform clinician-administered PTSD scale (CAPS) for DSV-V, provide diagnosis of PTSD if applicable
Contribute to PTSD clinical research program at San Antonio Military Medical Center; provide clinical expertise of post-traumatic stress disorder, help develop, test, and communicate scientific hypotheses that arise from current and future research efforts within San Antonio Military Medical Center.
PhD or equivalent in Psychology, License to practice psychology, Experience performing CAPs for DSM-V. Expertise in diagnosing and treating PTSD, Research experience, Working knowledge of statistical analysis, Strong communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Demonstration of strong organizational skills. Desired (optional) requirements, Experience working (and solving problems) within large organizations such as DoD, large academic institutions, etc., Experience and knowledge of genetic, epigenetic, or metabolomic analysis, Experience in human physiology, Interest in traumatic brain injury.
