The PsyD Program at the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco invites applicants with both academic experience and leadership abilities to serve as Program Director of our APA-accredited program, with multiple emphasis areas/tracks, including Social Justice, Family/Child, Integrated Health Psychology, and Forensic (on hiatus). The program adheres to a local scientist-practitioner model and trains students in a variety of theoretical orientations, including CBT, Psychodynamic, and Family Systems. Candidates with demonstrated research and clinical expertise in the application of mental health issues involving Latino/a and/or lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender populations are strongly preferred. We will also consider expertise in African American, Native American/Alaska Native, Asian American, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander American, Middle Eastern/North African American, and international populations as well as persons with disabilities. This position includes a combination of administrative and facilitated learning activities, such as teaching and/or dissertation committee/chairing work. .75 FTE will be in the Program Director role; .25 FTE will be faculty responsibilities.
The position requires administrative leadership experience as well as evidence of excellence in graduate level teaching, capability to supervise doctoral research, a record of scholarship, and a commitment to multicultural training. Candidates must hold a PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology (or closely related field) from an APA accredited institution; California license or license eligibility is strongly preferred. Familiarity with APA accreditation process, especially with the new Standards of Accreditation, would be highly valued.
