The Department of Psychiatry, Division of Adult Psychiatry is seeking full-time Clinical Psychologists for our acceptance and mindfulness-based adult Partial Hospital Program (PHP) at Rhode Island Hospital. The PHP serves adults aged 18 years and older who present with a range of psychological issues, including mood and anxiety, substance use and personality disorders. Psychologists in the PHP provide daily individual and group psychotherapy, based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other third-wave behavioral and mindfulness-based therapies, while working in close collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team. In addition, there is opportunity for psychologists to see outpatients and conduct clinical research as desired. Psychologists may also have the opportunity to be involved in training and supervision of psychology or medical residents or fellows affiliated with the Warren Alpert Medical School, Brown University. A clinical faculty appointment may also be available.
· A Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and APA-accredited internship
· Licensure or eligibility in Rhode Island
· Experience or interest in acceptance and mindfulness-based therapies
· Although the position is primarily clinical, the PHP is a clinical research program specializing in the study of diagnostic assessment, measure development/validation and treatment outcomes, thus we particularly welcome applicants with expertise or interest in clinical research
