Clinical Psychologist

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate care with other health care providers and provide consultative services pursuant to optimal healthcare delivery to patients suffering from pain.
  • Participate in an on-site designated Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) tele-mentoring training program.
  • Participate in tele-mentoring, tele-medicine, and tele-consults.
  • Travel/Training. The HCW may be required to travel to provide services or attend off-site training/meetings/symposia; regularly scheduled on-site training may also be required.
  • Attend the Annual Navy Pain Symposium/NCPMP meeting. The contractor shall be reimbursed for approved travel/training.


Duties:

  • Administer programs of treatment to mentally and emotionally disturbed individual adjustments; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
  • Assist in treating rehabilitation patients
  • Treat individuals in times of personal crisis such as a divorce or death of a loved one.
  • Interview patients and study medical and social case histories.
  • Diagnose and evaluate mental and emotional disorders of individuals and administer programs of treatment.
  • Participate in tele-mentoring, tele-medicine, and tele-consults.


Travel/Training. The HCW may be required to travel to provide services or attend off-site training/meetings/symposium; regularly scheduled on-site training may also be required. The contractor shall be compensated for approved travel outside of the local commuting area. The government shall reimburse the contractor only for authorized travel/training expenses deemed reasonable. In addition, the government may require travel/training for the HCW as follows:


Attend the Annual Navy Pain Symposium/NCPMP meeting. The contractor shall be reimbursed for approved travel/ training.


Qualifications:

  • Possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional School.
  • Successful completion of a psychologist intern program which has been approved by the APA.
  • Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one (1) of the fifty (50) states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Possess two (2) years of clinical work experience as a full-time Clinical Psychologist within the preceding three (3) years.
  • Possess two (2) y ears of clinical work experience as a full-time Clinical Psychologist within the preceding three (3) years.
