ADHD Neuropsychological Assessments with Children

We are seeking a highly motivated English-speaking clinical psychologist to join a research team investigating the nature, causes and management of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The clinical psychologist will be responsible for coordinating and conducting research diagnostic and neuropsychological assessments with children participating in the research unit’s projects. The unit encourages the professional growth of individual staff and continuing education opportunities are provided. The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST; www.oist.jp) is a dynamic new graduate university of science and technology in Okinawa, a beautiful subtropical island of Japan.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Recruitment and assessment of English-speaking children (age 6-12 years) and their families
2. Scoring and management of assessment data, and preparation of research assessment reports
3. Supervision of report writing by Unit research technicians, postdoctoral fellows, and research students, and unit outreach activities as appropriate


QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Applicants must have graduate qualifications in clinical psychology (PhD, PsyD, MA) and be licensed/registered in the state/country in which they trained or reside
2. Applicants must have had training and experience in the assessment and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental and externalizing behavior disorders, particularly ADHD
3. Native-level spoken and written English
4. Preference given to applicants with at least 2 years of post-doctoral/qualification experience in conducting assessments and providing clinical supervision
