DESCRIPTIONClinical Psychologist I is responsible for performing psychological assessment and evaluation of adult and/or child clients, using psychodiagnostic tests and other professional techniques not requiring medical licensure. Related professional responsibilities include provision of individual psychotherapy, and participation in training of psychology interns and other disciplines. Emphasis of the work is on assessment and evaluation of personality characteristics and dynamics in contributing to the understanding of client problems and development of treatment plans.QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with adolescents on a high fidelity DBT-A team is highly preferred.
The Dialectical Behavior Therapy clinic serves adolescents and young adult ages 11-23 who present with chronic suicidality, non-suicidal self-injury, chronic emotional dysregulation and/or other high-risk impulsive behaviors. DBT-A is an evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which includes individual and family therapy, facilitation of multi-family skills training groups and adolescent skills training groups, and phone coaching, as part of an intensively trained DBT consultation team.
The ideal candidate will have completed foundational training and have 3-5 years’ experience working with adolescents on a high fidelity DBT-A team. The candidate should be a child psychologist who can supervise psychology residents and interns and psychiatric residents and treat parents and children in our Child and Adolescent Clinic where children and families with a variety of common disorders are treated.
Experience: Experience as a Clinical Psychologist in the field of assignment and graduation from an accredited college or university, supplemented by appropriate graduate study and possession of a Doctorate in Psychology (Preferred experience: one year, Post Doctorate).

Licensure Certification: Possession of current Florida license as a Clinical Psychologist. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
