The UAB Department of Psychiatry invites applications for a full-time faculty position for a doctoral level clinical psychologist in the Division of Public Psychiatry. The position is classified as a Clinician-Educator, non-tenure earning faculty appointment within the School of Medicine. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to serving the Seriously Mentally Ill population and experience providing evidence-based interventions and assessments with a broad range of behavioral disorders in adults 19 and older. Experience with adolescents is a plus as opportunities for consultation with the First Episode Psychosis Clinic exist. Expertise with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness strategies is desirable, but not essential. Psychologists in the Department of Psychiatry are expected to provide supervision of graduate students, psychology interns, and residents as part of their educational role.
