Clinical Faculty Position in Human Development and Family Studies. The Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) program in the Department of Psychological, Health, and Learning Sciences at the University of Houston seeks scholars for a full-time, 9 month, clinical (non-tenure-track) faculty position at the assistant professor level. The department seeks applicants with expertise in developmental psychology and/or family relationships.
Applicants for this position must hold a doctorate degree in HDFS, developmental psychology, or a closely-related discipline. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong evidence of undergraduate teaching ability, commitment to the success of a diverse student population, effective mentorship, service to the profession, and ability to lead within the HDFS program
Responsibilities include teaching a 4-4 teaching load in HDFS undergraduate courses, mentorship of undergraduate students and teaching assistants, and service to the program, department, and college.
This is a 9-month appointment. Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2019.
