The Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) department at California State University San Marcos is looking to hire three temporary Student Services Professional, Academic-Related I counselors (non-tenure track appointment). This is a 0.33 FTE (approximately 13 hours/week), temporary, academic year appointment. This position does not have an opportunity to renew. This position includes the following responsibilities: providing short term individual, couple, group, triage, and crisis counseling. Psychologists are expected to provide at least 60-65% of their time providing direct service to eligible CSUSM students per Executive Order 1053. The position is for the 2019-2020 Academic Year beginning August 20, 2019.

- Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California for at least 2 years or
- Possession of a Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-Accredited doctoral program and licensed in the State of California as a Clinical Psychologist
- Demonstrated generalist clinical skills including time-limited, evidence-based individual and group modalities and crisis intervention
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to the services provided to students
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a stressful environment
- Ability to independently organize, manage, and prioritize tasks, including clinical caseload
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Completion of an APA-accredited internship
- Interest in, and expertise in multi-culturally diverse college students, non-traditional college students, first generation students, and social justice
