Child Psychologist: F60870
VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER: Department of Psychiatry, seeks a Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychologist as Faculty at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children (VTCC), the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The faculty member will be primarily responsible for providing clinical services (in primarily outpatient, rotation coverage on inpatient, and consultation/liaison settings), teaching and supervising trainees within the APA accredited internship and other psychology training programs, and providing leadership in the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based treatments. Research and/or other scholarly work (publications/presentations) is required.

VCU is a large urban university with robust health science campus and 750-bed university hospital. Richmond, the State Capital, has moderate climate and a rich mix of history with modern facilities, excellent suburban housing, and public/private schools. Low cost of living. VTCC will open its new state of the art facility in fall 2017 with increased inpatient acute beds and enhanced outpatient areas. Dedicated space for research, training, teaching will be expanded. There is opportunity for collaboration in clinical services, teaching and research with the Department of Pediatrics (Children's Hospital of Richmond) and in community settings.

Qualifications: Virginia Licensed Clinical Psychologist, experience treating children/adolescents and families required. Research experience, program evaluation and/or publications. Experienced Teacher. Supervisory experience and ability to work as member of interdisciplinary medical team. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. Individuals with with clinical specialties (e.g., evidence-based practices, substance use, developmental disabilities/autism spectrum) are encouraged to apply.
