Geisinger Health System is seeking a licensed child clinical/pediatric psychologist to join our expanding pediatric psychology hospital practice at Geisinger Medical Center, located in Danville, PA.
We seek an individual with experience and interest in consulting with pediatric specialists and continuing to grow our pediatric psychology hospital practice. We specifically want candidates to collaborate with pediatric gastroenterology and pediatric rheumatology and address pediatric pain. This will help expand assessment and treatment services to patients referred by these groups and other pediatric specialists. Additional responsibilities include participating on our outpatient practice with a broad range of child and adolescent referrals, participating in training of psychology interns and postdocs as well as pediatric residents. Join a large team of enthusiastic pediatric psychologists working collaboratively with pediatricians and other disciplines in a high-quality, innovative academic healthcare system.
We have a team of fifteen pediatric psychologists in the Geisinger Health System working in our main hospital, in pediatric primary care settings, and in an autism and developmental medicine center. We have a very successful and accredited psychology internship as well as postdoctoral fellows in pediatric psychology. Our pediatric psychology/primary care integration program is strong and innovative. Our research emphasis is primarily focused on applied outcome studies. We value innovation with projects such as guiding our health system to develop and adhere to consistent standards of care for assessing and treating adhd and developing on-line tools to help parents with frequently occurring behavioral concerns.
