Psychologist Position Available in the Female Athlete Program in the Sports Medicine Division of the Orthopedic Center at Boston Children's Hospital
The Division of Psychology is seeking a full or part-time child or adult psychologist to expand their team. The psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing outpatient consultation and therapy to female athletes coping with sports related injuries and medical conditions, including challenges related to eating disorders/disordered eating. Specific training and skills in treating adolescents/young adults with eating disorders, as well as experience working with athletes, is required. It is anticipated that the psychologist will provide treatment services within interdisciplinary sports medicine clinics in Boston, as well as in satellite clinics in the greater Boston metropolitan area. Opportunities for participating in research and community outreach are available.
The applicant must possess a Massachusetts health service provider license in psychology prior to assuming the position. Academic appointments at Harvard Medical School will likely be at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level. Graduates of APA/CPA-approved doctoral programs and internships are required.
