The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine Huntsville Regional Medical Campus (HRMC) is currently recruiting faculty candidates to be considered for a non-tenure track faculty appointment as a child psychiatrist in the Pediatric Department. The successful candidate will be expected to meet clinical, teaching and scholarly/research needs at the HRMC. Candidate will report to the regional chair of Pediatrics while also collaborating with Huntsville Psychiatry. The HRMC provides clinical training for 3rd and 4th-year medical students (3-4 per rotation) in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The residency programs in family medicine and internal medicine (60 total residents) support the other clinical departments with referrals and there are opportunities for elective courses and didactic teaching.
Candidates must have an MD/DO degree, board certification in psychiatry and child psychiatry, a strong track record, and highly skilled in clinical care and teaching. Rank for this full-time position will be Assistant or Associate Professor determined by training and experience. The candidate must qualify for licensure in Alabama, medical staff privileges at Huntsville Hospital, and credentialing with CMS as a physician provider.
