This 12-month position supports 8 academic units within the college. In addition to CHBS academic support, an important part of the Associate Dean's position will be to serve as the Director of IIHHS, providing oversight and leadership of the Institute, where academic programs enjoy integral connections to clinical services and community outreach initiatives that are predominantly grant-funded. IIHHS exemplifies the importance of engagement at JMU, and the Director oversees over two dozen programs embracing a widespread agenda for advancing scholarship, achieving exceptional learning experiences, and connecting our campus with communities. The interface of IIHHS programs with one another, with academic programs, and with community partners calls for agile and creative supervision.
