Assistant Teaching Professor - Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Syracuse University invites applications for a full time, non-tenure track position at the rank of assistant teaching professor beginning August 2019. The initial appointment may be for up to three years, and is renewable dependent on program need and instructor performance. A candidate in this position must be able to teach introductory psychology. Candidates who can teach classes in child clinical, development, or clinical or school psychology are preferred. Other undergraduate and graduate courses may be offered according to one’s specialization. Further, candidates should demonstrate excellence in cultural competence, including the ability to communicate effectively with people across cultures. A successful candidate will demonstrate or have the potential to demonstrate excellence in both pedagogy and teaching. As with all faculty positions, there is an expectation to engage in service in the department, college, & university and to advise students
Qualifications: Ph. D. in Psychology preferred.

The successful candidate will –
- Teach 3 courses in fall and spring semesters.
- Participate in curriculum maintenance, development and assessment within the department
- Engage in committee work and service activities in the department, college, & university.
