The University of Massachusetts Medical School is recruiting candidates for an Assistant Professor faculty position in the EK Shriver Center with a primary appointment the Department of Psychiatry. This is a tenure track eligible faculty position. The successful candidate is expected to establish a record as an independent investigator with federal grant funding. The candidate should either have an established research program or be in a good position to develop one and be willing to collaborate within the Medical School. Multiyear start up packages are available.
The candidates should possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching, practice and grant writing.
Applicants must have a PhD, or equivalent degree. Preferred background in Clinical Psychology.
Applicants will be expected to maintain an extramurally funded health research program, teach in graduate courses, and engage in research activities on campus. Major thematic areas include functional neuroimaging and functional near-infrared spectroscopy, oxytocin, and attachment between child and parent.
We are looking for individuals who have engaged in clinically oriented research and/or translational research.

The Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center at UMass Medical School has a rich history of supporting research, education, and service aimed at improving the quality of life for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders and their families.
